Elie Afram is a seasoned entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in the financial services space, with a notable 8-digit exit. In his current role as Co-Founder & CEO at NatGold Digital, Elie leverages his extensive experience in fintech and digital assets to drive the development and growth of the NatGold Tokenization Ecosystem, merging gold’s timeless value with cutting-edge digital solutions and ESG principles.
Elie recently founded Prime Financials, a regulated broker-dealer offering spot and margin trading for institutional clients. Under his leadership, Prime Financials swiftly secured regulatory approval, established robust operations and liquidity provisioning, and achieved an average monthly trading volume of $1 billion in less than 10 months.
Elie is also a board member of CodeBrave, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Lebanon’s next generation with tech skills. CodeBrave provides engaging coding, robotics, and AI classes to children and youth from disadvantaged areas, fostering a love of learning.
Before founding Prime Financials, Elie served as the Chief Revenue Officer at MidChains, a regulated crypto exchange and custodian in Abu Dhabi. In this role, he executed strategies to align revenue-generating functions across sales, marketing, product and technology departments, driving significant revenue growth. Additionally, he developed a Crypto PSP and Custody-as-a-Service offering, while enhancing the company’s OTC capabilities.
Earlier in his career, Elie co-founded ACM Group, known as Alpha, in London, an FCA-regulated fintech startup. Alpha provided multi-asset trading platforms, FIX API liquidity, and risk management solutions for over 5,000 instruments to institutional clients. The business was acquired by Playtech Plc in August 2017 under a three-year earn-out structure and capped at $150M. During his tenure, Elie played a crucial role in pivoting the business model, hiring a new management team, leading product development, raising capital, and played a key role in negotiating the sale. His strategic leadership was instrumental in ACM Group’s successful acquisition and subsequent growth. Elie’s experience also includes serving as an Investment Banking Analyst at GreenSea Capital in London.
Elie holds a Master’s degree in Investment & Wealth Management from Imperial College Business School in London, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Finance from the American University of Beirut. Fluent in English, French, and Arabic, his multicultural background and global perspective have been pivotal in his ability to lead diverse teams and forge strong client relationships.
